The Opportunity with McKinstry

McKinstry is currently seeking a Dispatch Efficiency Manager in Seattle, WA. The Dispatch Efficiency Manager is responsible for the productivity of dispatching our HVAC technicians and Plumbers. They will lead efforts to standardize and scale the use of field resources and provide best practice in Dispatch effectiveness. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Forecasting demand for field resources, technician workload, and technician maintenance assignments.

  • Continuous review of tech work load, to ensure strategic distribution of hours across the field - Aligning technician skill work skill required by assigned work.

  • Report creation, editing and adjustments to increase dispatch productivity.

  • Dispatch Training for New Hires, Refreshers and Coaching.

  • New Account Tech Assignment for Start Ups, New Agreements and realignment of current workload.

  • Communicate performance expectations, drive accountability, and provide performance feedback/coaching of coordination team.

  • Partner with Service Managers to develop and maintain technician skills matrix.

  • Lead other members of the service team as assigned.

  • Subject matter expert for technology tools, responsible for supporting change management and guiding our field and dispatch team through adoption processes.

  • Add something tied to work in progress and cash management.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • 4-6 years experience in Service; HVAC experience preferred.

  • 5+ years experience leading a team in Service Industry.

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis capabilities.

  • Strong decision making and sound judgement

The pay range for this position is $68,310 - $114,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
