Prime, Inc. is looking for a dedicated, motivated individual to work with our drivers that are coming through the local terminal.  This job opportunity will be at night, 4 on/4 off, after a training period.   Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Provide exceptional customer service to drivers and customers.
  • Create name badges as needed for drivers, non-driving associates, vendors, and associates' family members.
  • Coordinate with customers and our sales department to reschedule appointments for various loads if necessary.
  • Work with truck and trailer shops to help set PTA's (projected time of availability) for drivers.
  • Administer random and pre-employment DOT and non-DOT drug tests as needed.
  • Dispatch drivers' loads off the yard.
  • Monitor loads on the yard to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate any issues or updates with the appropriate department, customer, or vendor.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking industry is useful. Practice and efficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and AS400 is helpful, but will provide training if needed.

Abilities

Must be able to type at least 45 WPM; must be able to multi-task and provide excellent customer service. Candidate must be of high energy, motivated, persistent and good with conflict resolution.

Experience, Education, and Training

A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or related field is preferable. Applicant must have a strong work history.

Physical Requirements

Candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time, multitask, and have good communication skills both written and verbal. Position will require some walking and mobility on the premises.

Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Noise level is moderate to high; can also be more of a fast-paced environment. On-site attendance is required.
