Position Description:
The Dispatcher Specialist position is responsible for managing company drivers and owner operators. Responsibilities include utilizing the best cost option available to maximize profitability while ensuring customer requirements are met, building a strong working relationship with their primary core owner operators, drivers, and internal associates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximize LETEM Transportation trailer asset utilization.
  • Maximize utilization of LETEM Transportation capacity.
  • Assign freight with sufficient resources to meet and exceed the customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely status information is updated in appropriate tracking systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships through appropriate networking and strong communications.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with drivers.
  • Effectively execute and maintain all systems/processes used in the performance of duties.
  • Provide a strong, effective relationship with the equipment management team. Effectively manage the utilization and correct location issues of the region.
  • Maintain focus in daily activities to achieve safe and legal transit with 100% customer service.
  • Interface with various departments; i.e, payroll, maintenance, operations, safety, and outside vendors.
    Requirements:
    • College degree or 3 to 5 years Dispatching experience.
    • Previously held a position where sound judgment, initiative and tactful communication skills, while dealing with precise information, were required and successfully demonstrated.
    • Must be a team player, able to provide assistance to other team members.
    • Possess effective interpersonal communication skills.
    • Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
    • Must be flexible and adapt easily to changing priorities.
    • Must be able to prioritize workload.

Computer proficiency is a must. Excel experience is a PLUS!
