Position Overview

This is not an entry-level role. We need skilled craftsmen who can read blueprints, fit and weld steel members to exacting specifications, and deliver consistent quality with minimal supervision. You’ll combine traditional fabrication techniques with advanced CNC technology to achieve precision and efficiency on every project.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, and layout drawings.

  • Fit, tack, and weld steel members with accuracy and speed.

  • Perform FCAW/Flux Core welds in all positions, with shop welds primarily flat.

  • Ensure welds meet AWS standards for quality and compliance.

  • Collaborate with CNC systems to maximize precision and throughput.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements

  • Pre-employment and ongoing drug screening required; TATE FAB is a drug-free workplace.

  • AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (or ability to certify).

  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on structural steel fabrication and welding experience.

  • Proven ability to weld in multiple positions with consistent quality.

  • Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, and measuring.

  • OSHA-10 Certification (or willingness to complete)

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean MVR record.

  • Strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
