Position Summary
LIDS Sports Group is seeking qualified candidates who share our vision, values, and passion for all sports as well as our commitment to customer service. Our warehouse associates support all divisions of LIDS Sports Group and are vital contributors to our customers' loyalty. They assist in warehouse operations such as receiving, storing, and distributing product to our retail locations as well as other client accounts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive and verify incoming product; enter into computer system.
• Load and unload shipments.
• Stock product.
• Accurate pulling/packing orders for both shipping and will call customer pick-up.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory; utilize RF Scan Gun.
• Utilize shipping software to prepare outbound shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including a forklift.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all associates.
• May sweep, dust, or mop the warehouse area.
• Count, verify, and receive inventory into computer system.
• Sort and place product in proper rack locations.
• Inventory maintenance including cycle counting.
• Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required.
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
• Support and adhere to the Loss Prevention program.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This role may be assigned additional duties as business needs require.
Job Required Knowledge and Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience. (Preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions in English.
• Must possess strong customer service skills as well as good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent record of attendance and time management.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail is critical; must be able to pull complex orders accurately.
• Basic computer skills required; ability to use an RF Scanner.
• Prior forklift experience. (Preferred)
• Experience with shipping software. (Preferred)
• Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Safety conscious.
Physical and Travel Requirements
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 75 lbs and move materials up to 600 lbs using a pallet jack.
• Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
• Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• No travel is required for this position.
