Disney Advertising is responsible for advertising sales for the Company's entertainment, sports, news and kids linear and digital and radio business. Global Ad Operations leads the operational function for the Disney Ad Sales team. The Addressable Pricing & Planning team focuses on the functions of media planning and go to market pricing across ESPN, ABC, FreeForm, Disney, FX, NatGeo and Hulu. The Paid Social Media Manager works for the Social Pricing & Activation team and is responsible for pre-sale pricing, building social media mix, and inventory clearance. This person will advise on social platform distribution and sign off on contracted goals for social media activations. This role will have direct communication with social platform partners across Meta, YouTube, TikTok, X, & Snapchat and be a key stakeholder between these external partners and internal DAS teams for program conception, activation, optimizations, and performance summaries. This candidate should be a strategic, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, and effective communicator with an exceptional sense of accountability within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Partner with Brand Solutions and additional internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive social activation strategies for reactive and proactive offerings and ensure distribution plans align with client KPIs during RFP stage. This includes setting social pricing, platform recommendations, ad treatments and identifying delivery goals. Main stakeholder in approving and clearing all social elements for client media plan submission.

  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with internal DAS teams, such as Ad Partnerships, Social Center of Excellence, Brand Solutions, Sales, Planning, Social Editorial, and Creative Works, to achieve client contracted goals.

  • Act as a trusted social media expert for DAS around social offerings and be a key liaison with Ad Partnerships and/or social platform partners to beta test new monetizable social ad products.

  • Collaborate with Associate Paid Media Managers on the team to create client-facing campaign performance reports and provide DAS Sales with overall campaign delivery insights.

  • Provide paid social guidance to DAS Sales and Solutions teams and join client calls as needed.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in social media or digital advertising. Direct or indirect experience planning or executing paid media (boosting & optimizing social posts)

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into engaging and brand relevant conversations

  • Proven competency across social platforms including Meta, YouTube, TikTok, X and Snapchat

  • Strong understanding of social media analysis and performance tracking with a superior knowledge of social platform tools and applications, including Meta Ads Manager, DV360, Snap Ads Manager, TikTok for Business, and X

  • Polished in presentation and communication

  • BA or BS required

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $91,200 to $122,300 per year, in Burbank, CA is $87,100 to $116,800 per year, and in Atlanta, GA is $83,000 to $111,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
