General Description The primary responsibility of the Podium Supervisor is to support restaurant managers by leading the day-to-day operations for the Host/Hostess team. This person must possess effective leadership skills, including relationship building, delegation, coaching and training.

In addition, the Podium Supervisor must be very organized, and be able to multi-task and prioritize successfully. This person must be able to make decisions quickly without supervision, and must effectively communicate with all guests and team members. Work Duties Provide guidance, leadership, coaching and training for the Host/Hostess team Provide leadership support as needed for the entire front-of-house team, which may include opening or closing shifts as the on-duty supervisor Provide leadership guidance and assistance at the Point-of-Sale systems as needed Assist with guest satisfaction checks and provide guest recovery as needed Delegate tasks to Host/Hostess team as appropriate Answer phone in a timely and appropriate manner Prepare and maintain Host/Hostess area for guest arrival Properly and efficiently utilize the restaurant reservation, seating and paging systems Politely greet all guests in a timely fashion Lead guests to the table and seat guests in an appropriate fashion Politely inform guests of wait times and prepare wait lists as necessary Answer any guest questions as necessary Offer all guests a fond farewell Have basic knowledge of acceptable forms of payment and the Disney Dining Plan Maintain personal appearance and hygiene in a manner consistent with Disney and Company standards Perform work duties in compliance with all Company guidelines and policies Display proper food safety procedures at all times Follow all necessary laws and processes for the safe service of alcohol Work closely with all other team members and display good teamwork Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics, Service Basics and Company Guidelines at all times All other tasks as assigned NOTE: This Job Description is subject to change at any time .
