Job description

Providence Medical Institute is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join a well-established Cardiology team on a full-time basis in Burbank, California. This cardiology?based role focuses primarily on the management of patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). The APP will provide timely post?discharge follow?up, provide treatment in alignment with national guidelines, and monitor laboratory and clinical data to support ongoing care. The position emphasizes longitudinal management with the goal of reducing readmissions, while also coordinating prior authorizations and serving as a clinical liaison with transplant centers as needed.

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday schedule
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with half day of admin
  • On-site inpatient nurse CHF coordinator that will help ensure patients receive education prior to discharge
  • The CHF clinic will be in the outpatient cardiology clinic across the street from Saint Joe's hospital
  • Large Cardiology group with several physicians and APPs
  • Must have inpatient/outpatient Cardiology experience
  • Strong clinical comfort with CHF management and demonstrated ability to independently manage and treat CHF patients
  • Experience with program development preferred
  • Compensation is between $163,129 and $209,736 per year
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above

Providence Medical Institute is a physician services organization with more than 200 physicians across 50 medical offices, including five urgent care centers. Here, physicians work closely with six Providence medical centers, from the South Bay and Santa Monica to the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
