Product Management drives the user experience, feature strategies and concepts for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global portfolio of consumer-facing streaming and digital products - including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, Disney Experiences (i.e. Disney World), ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, and Star Wars.

Job Summary:

  • The Identity Product customer login team owns the front door to every Disney digital product and service worldwide including customer registration, login, and verification journeys

  • We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead and define the vision, strategy, and roadmap encompassing login, registration, account creation, identity verification, credential management, and the experimentation program that optimizes these experiences.

  • This role is accountable for leading with an experimentation mindset to deliver measurable improvements in customer login success while reducing friction and support costs at global scale.

  • As a principal-level individual contributor and product leader, you will operate in a high-ambiguity environment where technical, legal, business, and user-experience considerations intersect.

  • You will set long-term direction for a portfolio of authentication capabilities and UX journeys, influence cross-functional executive stakeholders, and mentor product managers on the team - raising the bar for product artifacts, data-driven decision making, and strategic thinking across the Identity organization.

  • You will leverage a robust AI toolset to continually re-shape PM leadership and all aspects of the product management craft

Responsibilities:

Vision, Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own vision and priorities for login, registration, and verification journeys across Disney.

  • Drive the multi-quarter roadmap

  • Turn market signals (passkeys, risk-based authentication, etc.) into strategy.

  • Tie auth investments to conversion, support, and growth.

Product Execution & Delivery

  • Write briefs and requirements and leverage AI to create prototypes that set the Identity PM bar.

  • Ship cross-platform auth end to end; align design, engineering, legal, privacy, security, data, support.

  • Run executive readouts for C-level audiences

  • Own launch comms and stakeholders across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, TWDC.

  • Roll out globally - legal, regional, platform, business constraints.

Experimentation & Data

  • Leverage the auth experiment program for insights, refinement, and launch strategies

  • Define KPIs, OKRs, dashboards.

  • Recommend launches with numbers on conversion, support, security.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Be the authentication expert for Identity and DEEP&T.

  • Partner with engineering leaders across teams as well as key stakeholders including Security, Legal, Privacy, VX/DX, Marketing, Data.

  • Align brands, regions, jurisdictions, platforms.

  • Present to execs; credible with engineers and leadership.

  • Lead cross-org programs (messaging, migration, consent, etc.)

Mentorship & Team Development

  • Coach Identity PMs on briefs, experiments, stakeholder comms, strategy, and leveraging AI tools

  • Model rigor in artifacts, analysis, clarity.

  • Shape Identity PM practices and culture.

Qualifications

  • Basic Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required

  • 10+ years of product management experience building and delivering consumer-facing software products at scale

  • Demonstrated track record of defining product vision and strategy for complex, platform-level capabilities that serve millions of users

  • Experience leading cross-functional product development across engineering, design, data, legal, and operations teams in a large, matrixed organization

  • Strong hands-on experience with experimentation and A/B testing methodologies, including designing experiments, analyzing results, and making data-driven launch decisions

  • Expert-level verbal and written communication skills, including a proven ability to author compelling product briefs and present complex product strategies to senior and executive leadership

  • Extensive experience with agile software development practices in large-scale engineering organizations (100+ person teams)

  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and drive clarity in environments with competing stakeholder priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's/MBA/Technical degrees or equivalent experience preferred

  • Product management experience in identity, authentication, or security product areas (consumer IAM, SSO, passwordless, MFA, fraud prevention)

  • Experience with consumer registration, login, and credential management flows for global direct-to-consumer products

  • Familiarity with authentication technologies and protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, WebAuthn/FIDO2, OTP, magic links, passkeys)

  • Experience managing products with significant regulatory and legal complexity across multiple jurisdictions (privacy, consent, COPPA, regional data requirements)

  • Experience with mobile messaging platforms (SMS, WhatsApp) for transactional and verification use cases

  • Product management experience in media, streaming, or entertainment industry

  • Strong passion for The Walt Disney Company and its brands, and a genuine interest in building identity and authentication experiences that serve a diverse, global audience

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is between $197,400 - $264,700, Los Angeles, CA is between $188,400 - $252,600, Seattle, WA is between $197,400 - $264,700 and San Francisco, CA is between $206,400 - $276,700. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
