Oregon-Senior Attorney

Department: Legal

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Oregon

Compensation: $200,000 - $400,000 / year


Description

The Senior Attorney will manage and lead an active caseload of state and federal plaintiff's-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies, while also providing guidance and oversight to associate attorneys. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing case strategy; conducting and responding to complex discovery; taking and defending depositions; drafting and arguing dispositive and class certification motions; leading settlement negotiations; appearing in court for hearings and trial; and mentoring junior attorneys on litigation best practices. Our agenda is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is a licensed, highly experienced litigator with a strong track record in complex or class action litigation who is organized, professional, and committed to achieving strong outcomes for our clients.


Qualifications
  • Candidates must be either (a) licensed to practice law in Oregon or (b) already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the Oregon Bar.
  • The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Oregon and have minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including experience with discovery in the civil litigation context, oral advocacy and appearing in Court, motion practice and taking/defending depositions.
  • Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is a plus.
  • Candidates must be able to travel on occasion.
License/Certification
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Oregon
