Job description

We are seeking a Paralegal / Legal Assistant with a minimum of 3 years’ litigation experience in federal and state courts to work with several Shareholders in our Litigation Practice Group. We are specifically looking for a candidate who has experience in both federal and state court litigation, is meticulous, pays attention to detail, has exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work directly with clients.
Legal Assistant Duties

  • General legal assistant duties, including managing various correspondence, agreements, contracts, pleadings and discovery.
  • Assist in creating, revising, proofreading and finalizing documents, including correspondence, pleadings and discovery.
  • Regular telephone contact, email, and direct interaction with clients.
  • Maintain organized electronic files.
  • Electronically file documents in State and federal courts.
  • Communicate with court officers and opposing counsel on behalf of the attorney.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare expense reimbursements for attorneys and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
