Job Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the operation, reliability, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure platforms, including data center, server, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud-adjacent services. This is a hands-on leadership role with an expectation that the manager remains technically engaged in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of infrastructure technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.
In addition to leading engineers and vendors, the Infrastructure Manager actively participates in architecture decisions, operational support, and modernization initiatives to ensure infrastructure platforms are secure, resilient, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and remain hands-on with day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and stability
  • Design, implement, and support on-premises and cloud infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives including upgrades, refreshes, disaster recovery improvements, and large-scale modernization programs
  • Oversee and actively engage in data center operations, virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery platforms
  • Lead incident response and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, including root cause analysis and remediation
  • Manage infrastructure vendors and service providers while retaining technical ownership of delivered solutions
  • Lead, coach, and develop infrastructure engineering staff through direct technical mentorship
  • Support CapEx and OpEx planning with hands-on input into platform design and technology selection
  • Ensure infrastructure environments meet security, audit, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate asset and configuration data aligned with CMDB standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 8-10+ years of progressive enterprise IT infrastructure experience
  • 3-5+ years in an infrastructure leadership role with direct hands-on technical responsibilities
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting and operating enterprise infrastructure in on-premises and cloud environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with data center operations, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery platforms
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure modernization programs
  • Ability to act as a technical escalation point and actively participate in troubleshooting complex issues
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing vendors
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud or cloud-adjacent architectures
  • Familiarity with ITSM and CMDB platforms (ServiceNow preferred)
