We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals to provide Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) within a structured Men's Transitional Living Program. This role focuses on supporting individuals in recovery through skill-building, care coordination, and accountability-based programming. This position supports culturally grounded services rooted in Santo Domingo Pueblo values and community connection. Ideal candidates have experience in behavioral health, case management, or residential services and are committed to helping individuals achieve stability, independence, and long-term success.
Summary of Position:
The Resident Support Specialist provides direct, recovery-oriented support services to residents participating in the Men's Transitional Living Program. This role integrates peer support and Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) to promote engagement, motivation, skill-building, and successful community reintegration. Drawing on both lived experience and structured service delivery, the Resident Support Specialist assists residents in navigating early recovery, developing independent living skills, strengthening accountability, and engaging in structured programming. This position coordinates care across clinical, case management, and community resources while reinforcing program expectations and maintaining clear role boundaries. All services are delivered in a culturally grounded manner consistent with Santo Domingo Pueblo values.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to obtain Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Lived experience in recovery strongly preferred
  • Enrolled member of Santo Domingo Pueblo preferred or strong knowledge of Pueblo traditions, values, and cultural practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; ability to communicate in Keres preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor adults in a structured residential setting
  • Ability to support engagement, motivation, skill-building, and accountability in a peer and community support role
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing peer and community support services
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, resolve conflict, and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience working in community programs, behavioral health, residential services, or related fields preferred
  • Prior experience in teaching, facilitation, or group-based programming preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, agencies, and community partners
  • Must meet all Kewa Family Wellness Center and Santo Domingo Pueblo HR requirements, including background checks, valid driver's license, court clearance, medical clearance, and compliance with Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations
  • Extended working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable through the Santo Domingo Pueblo's Liability insurance plan
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check that includes FBI, State, MVR, Tribal background checks, and a new hire drug/alcohol screening
