About the role
This role leads the strategy, compliance, and administration of the company's U.S. leave, disability, accommodation, workers' compensation, and absence management programs. As the primary subject matter expert, this role partners across HR, Payroll, Legal, Safety, and external vendors to deliver a compliant, efficient, and employee-centered leave experience.
Your Day-to-Day
• Lead U.S. leave, disability, accommodation, and absence programs.
• Maintain policies, processes, communications, and service standards.
• Drive program, vendor, and process improvements.
• Serve as escalation point for complex leave, accommodation, and return-to-work cases.
• Advise employees and managers on leave processes.
• Coordinate accommodations and return-to-work plans.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, and applicable leave laws.
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates.
• Partner with Legal on audits, investigations, and complex matters.
• Manage vendors and third-party administrators.
• Monitor performance, service levels, and employee experience.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims and return-to-work coordination.
• Maintain data accuracy across HR, payroll, and vendor systems.
• Analyze metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead reporting, training, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, Safety, and business leaders.
• Balance employee experience, compliance, and business needs.
• Lead and develop team members as applicable.
Who we're looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Occupational Health, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in leave administration, disability, absence management, benefits, employee relations, or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, USERRA, disability programs, workers' compensation, and state leave laws.
• Experience managing vendors and third-party administrators.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with HRIS, case management systems, and reporting tools.
Annual Base Salary Range: $132,000 - $165,000
