Job description

The available shifts for this position are as follows:
  • Afternoon (2pm - 10:30pm) - $17.00 per hour
  • Overnight (10pm - 6:30am) - $18.00 per hour

Position Summary
The Welcome Gate Security Specialist will be responsible for assisting guests and associates with access to the resort, including each access point and welcome gate on property. The candidate selected for this role must report any unusual activity to higher authority and ensure that only authorized personal, guests and members are granted access to Nemacolin. The Welcome Gate Security Specialist will also be expected to perform tasks relevant to the guests needs, as well as all resort operations, while continuously observing departing personnel to safeguard the resort's security standards.
Essential Functions

  • Observes security gates and checks cars for proper authorization tags.
  • Ensures only permitted personnel, guests, and members access the property.
  • Reports unusual occurrences to security team.
  • Protects personnel and company assets.
  • Responds to alarm activations and other emergencies that need tended to.
  • Implements procedures for dealing with emergencies.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English.
  • High school graduate education is preferred.
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
  • First aid/CPR certification is preferred.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Computer/ Email skills
