About the Opportunity

Phoenix Staff is partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Identity & Directory Services Administrator to support and secure enterprise identity platforms and directory environments. This role will play a key part in identity and access management, authentication, security controls, and overall IT infrastructure support.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with identity management, directory services, and security best practices, along with the ability to balance technical security requirements with day-to-day operational needs. This position will work collaboratively across IT and security teams to maintain reliable, secure, and efficient systems.


Position Overview

The Identity & Directory Services Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and securing enterprise identity platforms and directory services. Working independently with general guidance from IT leadership, this role focuses primarily on identity and access management while also contributing to broader systems administration and operational support initiatives.

This position requires a strong understanding of authentication, access controls, security practices, and identity governance while partnering with technical teams and end users to support a secure and effective technology environment.


Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management

  • Manage and support enterprise identity and access management processes.
  • Administer user access, permissions, and authentication requirements.
  • Support access governance initiatives and ensure alignment with security policies.
  • Assist with privileged access management processes and controls.

Directory Services & Authentication

  • Administer and maintain directory service environments.
  • Support Active Directory and cloud-based identity platforms.
  • Manage authentication technologies and access control solutions.
  • Troubleshoot identity, authentication, and access-related issues.

Security & Compliance Support

  • Monitor identity-related security activities and assist with incident response efforts.
  • Support security best practices, including least privilege access and multi-factor authentication.
  • Assist with compliance requirements through access reviews, documentation, and process improvements.

Systems Administration & Operational Support

  • Provide secondary support for broader IT systems administration functions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across identity and authentication platforms.
