What does a director do?

Directors are high-level executives responsible for overseeing a department, division, or entire organization. Regional Director – Early Childhood Education
We are a well-established Early Childhood Education organization with over 30 years of service, operating four centers across North Carolina. Three of our locations are in the western half of Gaston County, with one additional center in Mooresville.
Position Overview
The Regional Director provides leadership and operational support across all four centers, with a primary home base at one of our Gaston County locations. This role requires regular visits to each site and close collaboration with center directors and staff.
The Regional Director will also serve as the NC Pre-K administrator at one designated site and act as a key resource for program quality, compliance, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and administer the NC Pre-K program at one location
• Coordinate projects and initiatives between all centers
• Order and manage supplies across sites
• Support and assist with staff trainings
• Contact and coordinate contractors for facility repairs and maintenance
• Assist site directors with paperwork, licensing requirements, and problem-solving
• Be flexible and willing to step in as a director, teacher, cook, or bus driver when needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Level III Director certification
• 5 or more years of management experience in early childhood education
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to travel regularly between center locations
Additional Information
All candidates will be thoughtfully reviewed by our current Regional Director, who is retiring after 22 years of dedicated service to our organization. This position offers a unique opportunity for mentorship and a smooth leadership transition within a stable, mission-driven program.

Company Description

We are a small private company with four locations. Our first center was established in 1995 because the owners could not find quality childcare for their own child, so they bought an existing center, and we have all grown from there. It is 2026 and that child has grownup, married and has her own child now. Our commitment to quality childcare began then and continues to this day.
