Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct clinical supervision to primary clinicians and support staff in individual and/or group format.
  • Works in collaboration with the Chief Administrative Officer to ensure clinical services meet the needs of patients served.
  • Participates in clinical program development initiatives.
  • Participates in organizational leadership meetings to review program-specific clinical and administrative issues and monitor the quality of clinical care at the facility.
  • Supervises primary clinicians to ensure the initial and ongoing treatment plans for clients meet clinical and third party payer standards. Signs off on all biopsychosocial documents.
  • Reviews charting to ensure timely completion of treatment plans, program notes, and other clinical information. Ensures that quality of charts meets facility and payer standards.
  • Orients and trains new clinical staff at the discretion of the facility.
  • Provides clinical leadership through teaching and clinical supervision and serves as a role model by providing direct patient care.
  • In collaboration with the Medical Director and/or the Vice President of Clinical Services, will participate in treatment planning for high risk cases.
  • In collaboration with the Medical Director and/or the Vice President of Clinical Services, will participate in planning and implementation of in-service training and/or staff development.
  • Ensures the rights of patients and families are met as defined in the patient's rights policy.
  • Oversees standards for clinical staff to ensure legal and ethical treatment of patients in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Medical Director and Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Responsible for Utilization Management and ensuring prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews are conducted in a timely and appropriately manner.
  • Manages a multidisciplinary team and residential clinical milieu to ensure effective delivery of care and support for clients.
  • Engages with families throughout the treatment process to support communication, education, and continuity of care.
  • Completes peer reviews with insurance companies and advocates for medical necessity at appropriate levels of care.

  • At least five (3) years of experience in the behavioral health field, with at least three (2) years of experience in an inpatient or residential facility preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with increasing managerial responsibilities.

Schedule: Monday through Friday with oversight of program throughout the week
