POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Certified Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems supporting wireless telecommunications infrastructure, including Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), ERRCS/Public Safety systems, and other electrical installations.
KEY PROCESSES OWNED BY POSITION
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
• Install electrical infrastructure supporting telecommunications equipment, including power distribution, grounding systems, and backup power systems
• Run and terminate conduit, wiring, and electrical components
• Interpret electrical blueprints, construction drawings, and schematics
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics on installed systems
• Ensure all installations meet NEC and local electrical code requirements
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and field crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior electricians when applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work on a variety of projects including commercial electrical installations, wireless telecom infrastructure, DAS, and public safety systems
Job Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of electrical installation experience
• Certified Electrician License required (State certification preferred)
• Must be highly skilled in conduit bending, routing, and installation
• Strong understanding of utility meter equipment installations and applicable codes
• Experience installing and wiring switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and electrical distribution equipment
• Proven electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to plan and execute electrical installations while ensuring National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance
• Experience working in commercial or industrial electrical environments
• Telecommunications electrical experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of our TRIBE
• Valid driver's license to drive a company vehicle and ability to travel as required
• Experience with DAS, ERRCS, or telecom power systems
• Experience installing grounding systems and surge protection
• Experience working with backup power systems and battery cabinets
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
