Marketing Director | Southeast Christian Church

Reports To: Director of Communications

The Marketing Director partners with the Director of Communication to create and implement effective, mission-driven marketing strategies that increase reach, deepen engagement, and support the church's vision across all campuses. This role ensures that campaigns are brand-aligned, scalable, and measurable while advancing the Gospel with clarity and excellence.

The Marketing Director oversees marketing strategy across digital, social, web, email, paid media, and campus promotions, building systems that serve a growing, multi-site church.

What you will be doing

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies aligned with church-wide vision and ministry priorities.
  • Build annual and seasonal campaign roadmaps across campuses.
  • Identify growth opportunities across digital and physical touchpoints.

Campaign & Growth 

  • Lead the planning and execution of church-wide campaigns (sermon series, Easter, Christmas, launches, initiatives).
  • Ensure coordinated messaging across email, social, web, in-building promotion, and paid media.
  • Develop measurable goals for attendance growth, engagement, next steps, and discipleship movement.
  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including paid media, SEO, website optimization, and audience targeting.

Team Leadership & Optimization

  • Lead and develop a team of professional marketers with a heart for service and a focus on driving Kingdom impact. 
  • Establish campaign timelines, briefing systems, and feedback loops.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, clarity, and excellence.
  • Use engagement metrics, attendance trends, digital analytics, and community insights to inform decisions.
  • Build dashboards and reporting rhythms that clarify performance.
  • Ensure budget stewardship and ROI tracking.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with campus pastors and ministry leaders to understand audience needs and ministry goals.
  • Serve as the primary marketing strategist for multi-campus initiatives.
  • Align with the Creative Director and Operations Director to ensure execution matches strategy.
  • Bring clarity and prioritization to ministry promotion requests.

What we are looking for

  • 7+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in a multi-site church, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated campaigns across digital and physical channels.
  • Strong understanding of growth marketing, audience segmentation, and data-informed strategy.
  • Proven experience building and leading teams.
  • Exceptional organizational leadership and systems thinking.
  • Ability to balance creative excellence with operational execution.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with diverse ministry leaders.
  • Deep alignment with Southeast’s mission and heart for using marketing as a tool for Gospel impact.
