Role Mission
The Gucci Visual Manager for New York Fifth Ave is a highly experienced, self-directed visual leader based within one of Gucci's highest-volume and highest-visibility stores in the North region. This role is responsible for owning and elevating all aspects of in-store visual merchandising, ensuring the global creative vision is executed with excellence, precision, and commercial impact.
This role acts as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert, partnering closely with store leadership, regional visual teams, and corporate stakeholders to drive business performance, elevate the client experience, and set a benchmark for visual standards within the region.
Key Accountabilities
  • Own and execute all interior visual merchandising and window presentations for the store, ensuring flawless execution of global visual directives.
  • Serve as the in-store visual authority and subject matter expert for brand aesthetics, creative standards, and visual storytelling.
  • Interpret global creative strategy and adapt it thoughtfully to the unique architecture, clientele, and business needs of the store, using advanced visual judgment and discretion.
  • Create elevated, inspiring visual presentations that enhance the client journey, drive product focus, and maximize sales performance.
  • Partner closely with the Store Director to ensure strong alignment between visual execution, business strategy, and commercial priorities, while collaborating with Merchandising and Operations teams to drive overall store performance.
  • Analyze selling reports and product performance to proactively adjust visual merchandising strategies and zoning plans.
  • Lead visual execution for in-store events, seasonal launches, VIP activations, and special projects, ensuring high-impact and on-brand results.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to store teams and visual ambassadors, building strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of the store while elevating overall visual capability, standards awareness, and execution quality.
  • Ensure all visual installations are maintained to the highest standards, including ongoing refreshes, maintenance, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with functional Corporate Visual team to share best practices, innovations, and feedback from the field.
  • Manage and maintain visual tools, props, and inventory, ensuring proper care, storage, and brand compliance.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication on visual updates, including photo documentation and recaps for regional and corporate partners.
  • Serve as a pilot location for new concepts, guidelines, and visual initiatives, setting the standard for other stores in the market.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of visual merchandising experience in a luxury or high-volume retail environment required; multi-store level experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing visual merchandising within a flagship or high-profile store strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional aesthetic sensibility with a deep understanding of luxury visual standards and brand storytelling.
  • Highly self-motivated and autonomous, with the ability to easily adapt to ever-changing priorities and manage work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link visual execution to business performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence partnering with senior store and regional leadership.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including occasional nights, weekends, and overnight installations as required by the business.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and basic photography; ability to clearly document and communicate visual execution.

Salary Range - Corporate Field Positions
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in corporate field positions, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $90,000 to $95,000 USD
