Summary
This sales position manages sales activities selling products to wholesalers, distributors, and retailers primarily over the phone, via fax, and electronically. The primary goal is to contact established accounts to increase market share of client products by explaining products features and benefits to customers. This will be accomplished through inbound and outbound calls to existing products.
Essential Duties & Responsibility

  • Increase market share of client products using established sales techniques to convey accurate product / usage information to represent the product line completely
  • Accountability may include handling inbound and outbound calls over video interactions to facilitate client/customer needs by operating within established processes
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to facilitate client / customer needs by operating within established processes
  • Manage sales and customer service activities to assist with the total sales process
  • Ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction through attention to detail
  • Utilize technology to create robust CRM to retain consumer data and records
  • Use effective business communication skills and have the ability to develop strong sales relationships
  • Meet client's sales and customer service objectives
  • Correspond regularly with client and customers via video, phone, e-mail, and fax
  • Contribute to and prepare monthly reports to show that Client and company goals are being met and exceeded
  • Provide customer service including ad claims, damages, sales materials, and deductions and credit problems
  • Inform customers of new product launches, product changes, and new distribution of existing products
  • Discuss product features, benefits, and salability with customers to increase sales and promote product
  • Follow-up to prospective customer sales leads based on information from client
  • Analyze sales reports to determine product trends and make recommendations for promotions and distribution
  • Review orders for ideas to expand services available to present customers

  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Keep current of industry trends and competitive products
  • Travel as required. In order to meet the travel requirements, must have a personal credit card and an available credit limit for expenses which are reimbursed
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and customer trade shows to promote and sell client products
  • Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

Although this position will not have responsibility for direct reports, the position requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as active personal development and application of the Six Sigma methodologies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HSED) required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Two to three years of stable sales or relevant work experience is required. Membership call center, member retention or training experience is a plus. Industry experience or any other service-related industry experience is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex program and product knowledge, experience working on a PC, accessing and navigating multiple software applications in a Windows environment while talking to the customer on the phone via a headset at the same time is required. Beginner to Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite, primarily in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. SalesForce or other related CRM experience is a plus. Keying data entry efficiently and accurately with proficiency in typing/keyboard is required. Polished phone demeanor, tone and etiquette is required.

TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes, but is not limited to: Beginner to Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. SalesForce or other related CRM experience is a plus. Must be able to effectively and efficiently utilize multiple Internet search windows. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
