Overview

QXO, Inc. What you will do:

The person in this role is responsible for designing the right supply chain network for QXO's footprint, designing distribution centers of the future, and identifying capacity improvements across the existing network.

Responsibilities

  • Overall network strategy and planning to align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Network design includes facility location, type, and sizing; own the build vs. lease vs. outsource analysis.
  • Design, develop and implement innovative DC automation and management system solutions.
  • Assessment of current DC Operations to identify optimization opportunities to improve flow, throughput, capacity, productivity, and OEE.
  • Set and document engineering standards across the branch network.
  • Design of all new distribution centers encompassing site planning, product flow, MHE requirements, etc.
  • Implementation including project management, technical oversight, employee training, and commissioning of all engineering projects to increase capacity, throughput, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Generate CAD drawings, review vendor submittals, and manage composite drawing consolidations.
  • Review and selection of new automation partners including business case development.
  • Manage external technical partners.
  • Partner on WMS rollout, keeping facility design, operator workflows, and system configuration in sync.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, etc.)
  • 10 years of supply chain engineering experience (Distribution, Fulfillment or Manufacturing)

Required Skills

  • Experience in network optimization and network design
  • Experience in distribution or fulfillment facility design
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing automation solutions
  • Experience in developing productivity rates, labor savings analysis and models, engineering standards, and process improvement
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in engineering economics, simulation modeling, business case development, statistical analysis and advanced data & analytic skills
