Director, Supply Chain
Purpose of the Role:
The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for providing strategic leadership and governance to the Supply Chain function, ensuring the successful execution of supply chain strategies across projects. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop integrated solutions, drive operational excellence, and enhance customer value. The successful candidate will contribute to the organization's ambition of delivering sustainable solutions by optimizing supply chain processes, leveraging digital tools, and ensuring alignment with Worley's sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to Supply Chain teams, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Project Delivery teams to develop and execute differentiated, integrated supply chain strategies that align with customer needs.
  • Lead supply chain initiatives for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) projects.
  • Participate in bid and proposal development, contributing to strategic supply chain solutions that enhance project competitiveness.
  • Oversee the governance and execution of supply chain processes across all Worley projects in the region.
  • Analyze prime contracts, troubleshoot significant supply chain challenges, and provide proactive operational support to project teams.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements and drive supply chain innovation.
  • Develop and oversee policies, procedures, and objectives that align with the company's long-term strategic goals.
  • Serve as a key advisor to regional and location management on supply chain matters, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, digital innovation, and collaboration within the Supply Chain function.
  • Engage with senior leadership and customers to effectively communicate and present complex proposals and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years supply chain management within the energy, chemicals, or resources sector.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale supply chain operations, with significant supervisory and management experience.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to drive digital transformation and innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic programs and policies that impact regional or large-scale EPC and EPCM projects
  • Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ability to make independent, strategic decisions that drive long-term business success.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present complex proposals, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with a participative management style, fostering a cooperative and high-performing team environment.
  • Commitment to sustainability and the ability to integrate sustainable supply chain practices into operational strategies.
  • Local candidates in the Houston metro/suburban region strongly preferred.
