Starting Salary Range: $60,356 - $71,422, commensurate with experience

Summary
The College of Pharmacy's Director for Student Success is engaged with students in all phases of the process that leads to the successful completion of the PharmD degree, from admissions through graduation. The Director for Student Success works in collaboration with the university's centralized admissions and student services offices and provides oversight of all aspects of pharmacy student affairs, including student services, student advising, and student promotion.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Admissions: Work in collaboration with the university's Senior Executive Director, Strategic Enrollment Initiatives and the university's centralized admissions office, and the Assistant Dean of Admissions to assist in the pharmacy student recruitment and admissions process.

Student Services: Serve as the first point of contact for pharmacy students with respect to student services. Work in collaboration with the university's centralized Student Services office to ensure pharmacy students' student services needs are addressed. Supplement the work of the centralized Student Services with extra support in the areas of early identification of struggling students, pharmacy student organizations and student leaders. Address student professionalism concerns. Serve as the student advocate for pharmacy students in academic and student conduct proceedings and guide students through the absence policies. Oversee career advising for pharmacy students. Provide oversight for the residency, fellowship, and workplace application process for pharmacy students. Provide oversight of the College's Teaching and Learning Certificate Program. Provide support and oversight of student events. Create programming that supports student success, wellness and leadership.

Administrative: Oversee the budget and budget request process for the Office of Student Success. Provide oversight for the completion of relevant parts of the University and College strategic plans. Represent the College on university committees related to students. Provide oversight to ensure that the college meets all Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards related to student services and admissions.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education, counseling, or related field.
  • Experience in student services/student affairs in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a pharmacy school/college.
  • Prior experience in predoctoral pharmacy student affairs/student services.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, accreditation of pharmacy education programs by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.
