Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring Machine Operators in Glendale, Wisconsin.
STS Technical Services is seeking Machine Operators to support production operations in Glendale, Wisconsin. In this role, you will operate equipment across one or more production value streams while producing high-quality, defect-free products that meet customer specifications and company standards.
Job Responsibilities
  • Follow Schedule Boards and Hour by Hour production boards
  • Print and produce products according to order specifications
  • Perform hand-finishing operations including laminating, stack cutting, and sheeting as required
  • Complete final pre-run inspections, in-process quality checks, and job completion verification
  • Meet established quality and production standards
  • Perform required preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals including inks and cleaning solvents according to company procedures
  • Work from standard work instructions, written procedures, and established processes
  • Address routine production issues and escalate complex concerns to supervisors
  • Communicate with other shifts regarding current jobs, production updates, and operational issues
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic computer and math skills required
  • Ability to accurately read a ruler within 1/64 inch
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 80% to 100% of the shift
  • Ability to push and pull up to 22 pounds
  • Ability to climb 8-inch platforms or steps
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong quality awareness and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Mechanical aptitude including the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment assembly/disassembly
  • Willingness to learn and support cross-training initiatives
