The mission of the Program is to expand and synergize translationalstroke research to transform stroke care across the continuum within the context of an academic Learning Health System (aLHS). The Stroke programs will specifically address health equity and diversity across the lifespan. We aim to recruit a PhD Health Services Researcher or Epidemiologist to serve as an Associate Program Director for Transformative Stroke Care. Strong candidates will have a track record of national leadership in clinical data research, experience in alternative scientific models, use of a wide range of data sources and data analysis techniques (such as registry-based trials and causal estimation methods), success in grant writing and awards, and be particularly familiar with clinical science priorities in stroke and, more broadly, neuroscience disorders in general. Some experience in community-engaged participatory research or healthcare economic analyses, particularly those examining the combined clinical and economic outcomes of care, is preferred given the potential to identify opportunities related to community interventions and value-based care models.
The Associate Director will work with the Director (clinician scientist) and together, they will be expected to leverage collaborations with investigators across the entire Advocate Health Enterprise, disciplines, and national networks. Over the long-term, the Associate Director will assist in developing an enterprise-wide stroke registry, processes to improve care access and delivery, and processes to reduce inequities and improve outcomes.
