Profile Summary:

The Regional Director serves as a leader within the firm's national sales organization, acting as a business partner responsible for deepening advisor relationships, ensuring practice success, and aligning advisor outcomes with the firm's strategic objectives. The Vice President plays a critical role in advisor satisfaction and growth, delivering thought leadership, practice management support, and trusted guidance and consultations. The role requires exceptional presentation skills, relationship management skills, strategic agility, and the ability to navigate complex business needs while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external advisors. This position combines business consulting, sales, practice development, and authentic partnership to ensure advisors feel supported, empowered, and connected to the firm's Broker-Dealer and will be accountable for delivering measurable impact on advisor growth and satisfaction. By acting as a connector between advisors and the Broker-Dealer resources, the Regional Director ensures that advisors receive the tools, insights, and advocacy necessary to optimize their practices. This includes facilitating business planning and engaging in meaningful dialogue to anticipate advisor needs. The Regional Director will represent the voice of the advisor inside our Broker-Dealer, ensuring alignment between field realities and Broker-Dealer priorities. Additionally, the role requires serving as a strategist who can influence advisor direction, foster loyalty, and drive long-term success.

Profile Description:

  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings and coaching sessions to evaluate advisor business performance and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Assist advisors in navigating business challenges, practice management decisions, and succession planning.

  • Represent the firm's leadership team to advisors, ensuring that expectations are met and outcomes align with firm priorities.

  • Provide strategic input and feedback to advisors, helping them refine business models, client engagement strategies, and operational processes.

  • Serve as a trusted connector between advisors and the Broker-Dealer, ensuring advisors are aware of and able to leverage available resources.

  • Identify and align appropriate firm specialists, internal teams, and subject matter experts to address advisor needs.

  • Facilitate collaboration across compliance, marketing, technology, and operations to deliver comprehensive solutions.

  • Act as an internal advocate for advisors, ensuring their perspectives are considered in firm-wide initiatives and decision-making.

  • Foster stronger advisor connectivity to the firm through regional events, study groups, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

  • Build and reinforce advisor loyalty by demonstrating consistency, transparency, and accountability in all interactions.

  • Serve as a strategist for advisors, offering insights on market trends, business growth opportunities, and evolving client needs.

  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to attract resource usage while increasing satisfaction and productivity.

  • Continuously measure advisor satisfaction and adapt engagement strategies to maintain high levels of trust and advocacy.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred however; an appropriate amount of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Advanced degree or certifications (CFP, CIMA, etc.) a plus, but not required.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial services, advisor relationship management, or practice consulting roles.

  • Proven ability to manage complex advisor relationships and deliver measurable growth and AUM retention outcomes.

  • Strong consultative and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose business challenges and recommend solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to influence and build trust with advisors and business owners.

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to balance firm objectives with advisor needs in a collaborative framework.

  • High integrity, authenticity, and client-centric mindset with a passion for driving advisor success.

  • Finra Series 7, 66 or 63 & 65.

  • Agile and partnership driven mindset is required.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
