Director Strategic Sourcing
As a Director Strategic Sourcing here at Honeywell, you will lead the strategic sourcing initiatives for our Building Automation (BA) Fire Americas business, driving cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and procurement excellence to support business growth and operational efficiency.
You will report directly to our senior leadership, and you'll work out of our Northford, CT location on an Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell Building Automation Business by ensuring the sourcing strategy aligns with business objectives, delivering value through innovative sourcing solutions, and strengthening supplier partnerships to enhance supply chain resilience and competitiveness.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that align with Honeywell Building Automation (BA) Fire Americas business goals and objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Establish category strategies by working with Corporate and Regional category management team based on spend analytics, demand trends, market intelligence, supplier landscapes, and business forecasts
• Drive YOY productivity cost savings through negotiations, component and value engineering initiatives, supplier consolidation, design standardizations, cost avoidance, and total cost of ownership improvement.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders on sourcing strategy, supplier markets, cost drivers, risk exposure, and value opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate supplier, market, financial, operational, geopolitical, regulatory, cybersecurity, privacy, and continuity risks. Lead complex issue resolution when supplier or market conditions create business disruption or exposure.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage and develop a high-performing sourcing team to meet current and future business needs.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement leadership within a complex manufacturing or technology environment.
• Extensive experience and knowledge in Electronics category especially in Semiconductors and Passives commodities.
• Strong expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
• Proficiency in supply chain management tools and ERP systems to analyze spend data and drive sourcing decisions.
• Knowledge of risk management and supplier performance evaluation to ensure supply continuity and quality standards.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing supplier relationships globally.
WE VALUE
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing or procurement roles.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen to support data-driven decision making.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
• Experience in the building technologies or industrial sectors is highly desirable.

Pay Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $167,000 - $209,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
