The Senior Director, Strategy leader, is responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of Cytiva's Filtration business. This leader architects an insightdriven strategic plan and owns the strategy enablement and execution ecosystem-ensuring the organization has the operating rhythm, crossfunctional alignment, and performance systems needed to translate strategy into measurable outcomes. The role advances market research and analysis, synthesizes implications for the business, and operationalizes strategy at scale through integrated planning, capability building, and execution accountability.

The Senior Director Strategy has co-ownership of strategic decisions with the General Manager, and accountability for long-range financial ambition of the Filtration business. The leader has authority to steer strategy across functions, partnership with Commercial, and other strategy leaders of Danaher's Biotechnology Group, particularly the Head of Strategy for Cytiva. This includes the developing, articulating, and implementing business strategies that drive meaningful improvements in the development of therapies, and, in turn, increase market share gains, profitability, and create shareholder value.

This position reports to the VP & General Manager, Filtration Business Unit, and will be an on-site position in Marlborough, MA. .

What you will do:

  • Lead the endtoend strategic planning process for the Filtration business-defining vision, longterm financial ambition, and a differentiated competitive position in alignment with Cytiva/Danaher frameworks.
  • Coown major strategic decisions with the General Manager and Product Leaders, advising on highestgrowth opportunities and ensuring business leaders incorporate strong market insights into planning.
  • Drive market intelligence and growth strategy, overseeing core/adjacent/transformational market analyses, identifying organic and inorganic growth vectors, and supporting duediligence activities.
  • Enable and govern strategy execution, embedding decision mechanisms, performance systems, and crossfunctional alignment to ensure delivery of strategic priorities and longterm growth roadmaps.
  • Facilitate strategic workshops and influence across the organization, cultivating inclusive collaboration across product management, R&D, Commercial, and Insights teams, and communicating strategic priorities to stakeholders at all levels.

Who you are:

  • Undergraduate degree in a scientific or technical field and top tier MBA or other graduate degree required and minimum of 5+ years bioprocess experience.
  • Multiple (ideally 3+ years) in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent experience focused on market analysis; additionally, 3+ years' experience executing in a non-consulting role.
  • Substantial experience in strategic planning (ideally within the Life Science industry), a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and demonstrated business acumen. Strong preference for candidates with experience in bioprocessing, pharma services, or filtration.
  • Critical thinker with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well cross-functionally and to interact with executives at the most senior levels.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Strong DBS toolkit with depth in strategy deployment, growth acceleration, and prioritization methodologies that drive clarity, focus, and scalable execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Up to 30% travel (domestic and international), depending on location and business needs

The salary range for this role is $210,000 - $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
