Job Summary:
Superior Energy Services is an oilfield products and services company with global reach, seeking an experienced Director of IT – Digital Strategy & Enterprise Services. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s digital roadmap, ensuring alignment between business priorities and IT capabilities, and leading various IT functions to drive measurable business outcomes and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a multi-year digital strategy aligned with corporate goals and operational priorities
• Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on technology trends, innovation, and digital transformation opportunities
• Translate business capabilities into technology roadmaps and investment plans
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve efficiency, revenue, and customer experience through digitization
• Lead the enterprise IT portfolio management function, including project intake, prioritization, execution and governance using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Establish and enforce value-based decision frameworks (e.g., ROI, total cost of ownership, strategic alignment)
• Manage demand planning, resource allocation, and capacity planning across IT initiatives
• Drive transparency via portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting
• Ensure consistent delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, waterfall) aligned to business needs
• Oversee ITSM processes aligned with ITIL best practices, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable IT services that meet or exceed SLAs/OLAs
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives using metrics, root-cause analysis, and automation
• Lead service catalog development and lifecycle management
• Champion user experience improvements across all IT support channels
• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture framework (business, application, data, and infrastructure domains)
• Establish technology standards and guardrails to reduce complexity and technical debt
• Ensure alignment of all solutions with architectural principles and security standards
• Lead architecture review boards and governance processes
• Guide modernization efforts including cloud adoption, information architecture, integration strategies, scaling AI capabilities and platform consolidation
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across PMO, ITSM, and EA disciplines
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
• Manage vendor relationships and strategic partnerships
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost optimization initiatives
• Promote governance, risk management, and compliance across IT operations
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Proven experience leading one or more of the following: PMO, ITSM, or Enterprise Architecture functions
• Strong understanding of digital transformation, portfolio management, and service delivery frameworks
• Experience with IT governance, budgeting, and executive-level reporting
Preferred:
• Master’s degree (MBA or IT-related discipline)
• Certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, PMP/PMI-ACP, SAFe, or COBIT
• Experience in complex, asset-intensive industries (e.g., oilfield services, energy, manufacturing)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), ERP systems, and integration architectures
