Position Summary
Hiring Warehouse Runners for 2026 Concert and State Fair season at the California Exposition & State Fair. We are looking for motivated individuals who would like part-time employment to work with us as warehouse support for concerts, shows, expos, X games and the 2026 State Fair.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00.
This is a seasonal role from April 16th, 2026 and will end on August 12th, 2026.
This position will remain open until June 12th, 2026.
About the Venue
California Exposition & State Fair is home to the California State Fair and plays host to hundreds of other signature events each year. Featuring 350 beautifully landscaped acres, Cal Expo was initiated by Governor Pat Brown and opened by Governor Ronald Reagan in 1968. The current Cal Expo facilities were dedicated as a place to celebrate California's achievements, agriculture, diversity of its people, traditions and trends that will shape the Golden State's future. The California Exposition & State Fair mission is to create a State Fair experience reflecting California including its industries, agriculture, and diversity of its people, traditions and trends shaping its future supported by year-round events.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for helping set up, breakdown and stocking all concession stands, portable locations & other areas.
  • Attention to detail including company standards of inventory control, sanitation, presentation, and quality is always required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all concession stands by removing all trash and recyclables.
  • Transport food & beverage, and operational supplies across the fairgrounds using golf carts and company truck(s) to support the soccer stadium operations and other on-site facilities.
  • Safely operate company vehicles throughout the property while coordinating deliveries to multiple locations.
  • Responsible for rotating food products during the stocking process to ensure the freshest products are being served to guests.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse including sweeping, mopping, organizing storage areas and cleaning.
  • Requires keeping all storage areas and inventory in neat, organized and sanitary condition as directed.
  • Deliver items according to requisitions and place inventory in a proper fashion using the FIFO method of rotation (First-In-First-Out).
  • Responsible for maintaining the overall security of all storage areas by ensuring that all areas are properly locked and protected.
  • Assist with monthly inventory as directed.
  • Make note of any inventory that is needed to complete upcoming events.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years foodservice/hospitality warehouse experience preferred; similar venue experience a plus.
  • Flexible work schedule, must be able to work weekends.
  • Must have valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to work in both weather-related and non-weather-related cold & hot environments.
  • Capable of maintaining safety and productivity on wet or slippery surfaces.
  • Willingness to work around extremely hot equipment and surfaces.
  • Ability to navigate and perform tasks within confined spaces throughout the building.
