The RoleAspenTech is looking for a talented and experienced Developer with Quality background to join our Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for functional and nonfunctional testing (Performance and Automation testing) of cloud-native products deployed in hyperscalers and on-prem nodes. You will gather functional requirements, information, and data to proactively drive best practices from a quality perspective into the product while collaborating with our front-end and backend software developers and Product Management.
As part of the EOP team, you will be a member of an Agile development team responsible for the delivery of next-generation industrial software solutions. These solutions will provide a software-defined, data-centric, flexible platform which enables automation for AspenTech's diverse customer base.

  • Actively participate with team members as part of a scaled Agile organization.
  • Take high level strategic requirements and work with a team to refine them into actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Deliver a high-quality product by creating manual and automated tests including test environments, installations, upgrades and configuration in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Develop and perform Unit, Integration, End to End and Performance testing within an iterative agile environment.
  • Drive and shape the test automation strategy across API, UI, system, and integration layers, balancing hands-on contribution with technical leadership.
  • Act as a technical authority for automated testing, guiding design decisions, best practices, and test architecture across teams.
  • Maintain and execute performance scalability and stress testing.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability and collaboration across a variety of support, development, security, and product teams.
  • Continually demonstrate adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills as a participant in a variety of Agile ceremonies.
What You'll Need
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in software development or in software testing.
  • Language requirement:
  • French: A1 (advanced).
  • English level C1 (advanced), the position requires interactions with international clients
  • Working experience with test automation, performance, databases, and test tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one modern operating system.
  • You demonstrate strong proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages.
  • Practical, working experience with some of the following:
  • Automated testing frameworks: Playwright.
  • Databases: MongoDB, Postgres, MSSQL.
  • Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, Lua.
  • JavaScript Frameworks: Angular, React.

  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, services, architecture, and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as networks, databases, servers, communications, and information security.
