Role Objectives:

As a key member of Moose's Marketing Centre of Excellence (COE), the Head of Social Media Strategy will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Moose's global social media presence. This role will shape digital storytelling that engages, entertains, and builds meaningful consumer engagement across platforms, driving brand relevance and community growth. They will design a dynamic social ecosystem that brings our brands to life, supporting Moose Global Marketing and Regional Marketers from strategy through to execution.

With a global mindset and a deep understanding of how social media influences consumer behaviour, they will balance creative ambition with measurable impact, overseeing platform and channel strategy, content creation and community engagement.

Reporting into the SVP, Marketing CoE and leading a team of social media managers and creators, they will drive and oversee social-first content development, ensuring campaigns are relevant, on-trend, shareable, and unforgettable. They will define the overall voice, tone, and visual identity of Moose's social presence, creating immersive digital brand worlds that strengthen consumer loyalty and amplify global reach.

Qualifications:

         7 years of progressive experience in social media.

         Proven track record of leading large-scale social media strategies for global brands.

         Experience developing and executing campaigns or initiatives that have made a meaningful impact on business results and/or the bottom line.

         Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

         Results-oriented with the ability to demonstrate specific examples of significant accomplishments and measurable success.

         Proficiency with social media management tools.

         Deep knowledge of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest).

         Demonstrated success driving significant audience/follower growth, engagement, brand awareness, or campaign performance

         A visionary with a keen eye for content creation, editing, and storytelling.

         Ability to inspire creativity and innovation within teams.

         Experience working across multiple international markets, with a nuanced understanding of regional social media usage, cultural trends, and content consumption behaviours.

         Experience managing cross-functional teams.

         Drive best-in-class execution in photography, video, CGI, animation, and experiential content - elevating visual storytelling across every channel.

  • Champion creative consistency across consumer-facing touchpoints, reinforcing a unified brand voice.

Digital Expertise

  • Possess deep understanding of digital content creation, leveraging platforms and audience insights to craft forward-thinking strategies.

Cultural Awareness

  • Stay attuned to trends, platforms, and audience behaviours, shaping creative strategies that resonate across diverse audiences and contribute to cultural impact.

Campaign Analysis

  • Partner with Insights & Digital to track content performance and feed learnings back into the creative process for continuous improvement.

Global Execution

         Build scalable processes for localisation to adapt global creative for regional cultural nuances and languages.

People Management

  • Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department, recruits, interviews, selects and trains new staff.
  • Oversee the day-to-day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support.
  • Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs and conduct regular reviews in-line with the Moose Performance Management Program.
  • Manage the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis; and
  • Champion the Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver on "The Wow".

Work Hours:

8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

8:30am - 3:00pm, Friday

30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Hybrid working arrangement: Tues-Thurs in El Segundo office.

Salary Band

USD $130,000-$155,000
