Site Reliability Engineer (Network Focus)

Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 + Annual Bonus & Profit Sharing

About the Opportunity: Our client is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with a strong networking background. This is a hands-on infrastructure engineering role supporting a modern hybrid environment spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure. The organization is in the midst of a large-scale Azure migration, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys designing, automating, and modernizing enterprise infrastructure. While the team supports a broad technology stack, this position is heavily focused on network engineering and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
What You'll Be Doing as a Site Reliability Engineer:

Design, implement, and support enterprise networking infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, and perimeter security.

Manage firewall policies and network segmentation while following established change management practices.

Support the networking aspects of the organization's Azure migration, including VNets, Network Security Groups, Gateways, and Hybrid Connectivity.

Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.

Work within GitHub-based CI/CD workflows to deploy and manage infrastructure changes.

Troubleshoot production networking issues across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Participate in infrastructure projects involving automation, monitoring, performance, and reliability improvements.

Collaborate closely with the Site Reliability Engineering team on cloud initiatives and infrastructure modernization.

Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications of the Site Reliability Engineer:

7+ years of IT infrastructure experience.

Strong hands-on networking experience including: Routing & Switching, Enterprise Firewalls, VLANs, BGP / OSPF, NAT. WAN connectivity.

Experience with Azure networking including: VNets, NSGs, Gateways, Hybrid networking.

Proven Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or Ansible.

Experience managing infrastructure through Git-based workflows (GitHub preferred).

Experience working in CI/CD-driven infrastructure environments.

Comfortable working with Linux and Windows infrastructure.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Qualifications of the Site Reliability Engineer:

Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives from a networking perspective.

Experience with Zero Trust networking technologies such as Microsoft Global Secure Access (GSA) or Cloudflare Zero Trust.

Experience with modern networking platforms including SONiC, VyOS, or similar.

VMware experience.
-
Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services.
