Azure Cloud Developer / Site Reliability Engineer IV-V


DPG is seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Developer and Site Reliability Engineer to support our customer's mission systems operating in a classified environment. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud native platforms and DevOps pipelines within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The engineer will work across infrastructure, platform engineering, and development teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, automated, and highly available.


This position requires a senior engineer capable of operating independently while helping shape platform architecture, automation strategies, and DevSecOps practices supporting mission systems.

Responsibilities


Support the development and modernization of mission systems operating within Azure based cloud environments

Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration and deployment pipelines optimized for performance and scalability across Azure and hybrid cloud environments

Design and implement cloud native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automated configuration management


Develop and maintain CI CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling to enable rapid and reliable application delivery

Leverage Azure platform capabilities and industry best practices to improve platform scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency


Overview


  • Collaborate with software engineers, mission application teams, and infrastructure engineers to build secure and reliable development environments
  • Integrate security and compliance controls into platform services including identity management, encryption, secrets management, and policy enforcement
  • Support platform operations, system reliability, monitoring, and performance tuning across production environments
  • Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues within Azure and hybrid Windows environments
  • Required Skills
  • 10 to 15 plus years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering
  • Strong experience working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments including core services such as Azure Compute, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Azure Identity
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration and Windows based infrastructure
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Strong experience building and maintaining CI CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, or similar DevOps platforms
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting frameworks
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments integrating on premise systems with Azure cloud services
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and reliability practices using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting secure environments and implementing security best practices within cloud platforms
  • Experience working in Agile development environments such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills
