The proposed position will take the responsibility to provide assistance with SEA CE SVC financial reporting and analysis. This position will participate in financial report, managing budgetary expenses and overhead expenses, month-end closing, expense forecasting, regulatory compliance and provide detailed analysis report to the director.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and perform month-end closing, financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking to help senior management make well-informed decisions.
  • Prepare monthly Profit and Loss data for CE service division and consolidate SEA service P&L data for CSD monthly leadership meeting.
  • Manage expense postings and accruals base on accounting rules and principles.
  • Assist in analyzing actual operating results at Month-end, Quarter-end, year-end and compare to the forecasted monthly/annual plan and present findings to the senior manager.
  • Consolidating recurring and project expenditures of each division to prepare annual management plan for following year based on historical data/forecasting/HQ guideline.
  • Prepare various financial reports to define the spending is managed within company policy, management plan and annual budget.
  • Communicate with PICs and project owners to identify causes of increase/decrease in expenditures and respond inquiries from senior management and HQ.
  • Assist finance related inquiries and establish guidelines and policies to support CE SVC division regarding budget, expense, travel and Etc.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports with reconciled HQ data and submit to NAHQ.
  • Manage A/R open items by submitting claims to different Samsung subsidiaries and re-class
  • Make manual journal entries for the G/L allocation monthly, and budget adjustments for the responsible cost centers, and G/L.
  • Review and set up approval path with complying CE SVC guideline
  • Publish official letter to CE service division to announce regulation, compliance, guidelines

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in related area (Accounting, Analytics, or Finance)
  • Master degree in accounting preferred
  • Advanced skills in Excel - heavy use of Excel in this role
  • SAP experience
  • Database extraction and analysis experience
  • Enthusiastic and eager individual who is willing to learn and grow with the team
