What does a Director Salesforce Implementation Partner do?

A Director Salesforce Implementation Partner leads teams in planning, executing, and managing Salesforce implementation projects for client organizations. They oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial consultation and requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support. This role also involves building client relationships, ensuring solutions align with business goals, and managing budgets and timelines. Directors collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions that drive organizational success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Director Salesforce Implementation Partner?

To excel as a Director Salesforce Implementation Partner, you need deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, project management, and business process optimization, typically backed by a relevant degree and Salesforce certifications (such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Consultant). Proficiency with Salesforce tools (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud), integration platforms, and project management systems is essential. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills help drive cross-functional alignment and successful client outcomes. These capabilities are crucial for delivering complex Salesforce solutions on time and within budget while ensuring client satisfaction.

What are the primary challenges a Director Salesforce Implementation Partner faces when managing multiple client projects simultaneously?

A Director Salesforce Implementation Partner often manages several client projects at once, which can present challenges such as balancing competing priorities, ensuring consistent communication across teams, and maintaining high-quality deliverables within tight deadlines. Coordinating cross-functional teams—including developers, consultants, and client stakeholders—requires strong organizational skills and adaptability. Effective directors use robust project management methodologies and proactive risk mitigation strategies to address these challenges and ensure project success.

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Salesforce Lead to provide technical leadership, architecture, and strategic direction for Salesforce solutions supporting a federal customer.

The Salesforce Lead will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for aligning Salesforce capabilities with business requirements, guiding the technical team, overseeing complex system integrations, and ensuring the platform is designed, configured, and maintained to support mission and operational objectives.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the strategy, architecture, design, configuration, and continuous improvement of enterprise Salesforce solutions.
  • Analyze business processes, user requirements, workflows, and system capabilities to identify opportunities for automation and platform optimization.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and technical designs.
  • Serve as the technical lead and Salesforce subject matter expert across project assignments.
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to Salesforce administrators, developers, and other technical team members.
  • Lead and oversee complex integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and external systems.
  • Evaluate existing Salesforce architecture and recommend improvements to functionality, scalability, performance, maintainability, and user experience.
  • Oversee advanced Salesforce configuration, including workflows, automation, permissions, data models, reports, dashboards, and other platform capabilities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, program leadership, and technical teams to align Salesforce solutions with organizational priorities.
  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify limitations, technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and promote Salesforce architecture, configuration, development, documentation, security, and governance best practices.
  • Support release planning, solution testing, deployment activities, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Evaluate Salesforce capabilities and commercially available solutions and recommend appropriate technologies or approaches based on mission requirements.
  • Communicate technical concepts, recommendations, risks, and solution options effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical deliverables, project milestones, performance objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience supporting complex technology, systems analysis, CRM, application, or enterprise platform environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce architecture, administration, configuration, and enterprise CRM solutions.
  • Experience leading major technical assignments or Salesforce implementation initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing user requirements, business processes, workflows, and existing system capabilities to design or improve technology solutions.
  • Experience designing or overseeing integrations between Salesforce and external applications, databases, APIs, or enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, data architecture, security, access controls, automation, and platform governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and provide technical guidance across complex project assignments.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Salesforce Architect credentials.
  • Experience serving as a Salesforce Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Lead Administrator in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce solutions within the federal government or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or other enterprise integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Flow, Lightning Experience, reports and dashboards, permission structures, and advanced platform configuration.
  • Experience establishing Salesforce governance, development standards, release management practices, and configuration management processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working within multidisciplinary technical teams.
Why Join Blue Rose?

At Blue Rose Consulting Group, you’ll have the opportunity to lead technology solutions that directly support important federal missions. You’ll work alongside collaborative technical and program teams while helping shape the architecture, strategy, and future direction of an enterprise Salesforce environment.

We value technical excellence, thoughtful leadership, continuous improvement, and people who can connect the dots between business needs and smart technology solutions.
