Leading SaaS Company | Tampa, FL (Hybrid/Remote: 1-2 days/week in office)

Salary: $170k - $200k+ and Profit Sharing

The Role

We're seeking a strategic Director of Accounting to lead our accounting function during an exciting growth phase. This role requires a seasoned professional who can balance both external and internal reporting responsibilities while thinking strategically about our financial operations. You'll manage a team and work closely with executive leadership to drive financial excellence as we scale post-IPO.


What You'll Do

  • Oversee external and internal financial reporting with accuracy and strategic insight
  • Manage SEC reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Lead and develop accounting team members, fostering growth and excellence
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and SOX compliance programs
  • Drive process improvements and accounting system enhancements
  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda and documentation for complex transactions
  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes


What You Bring

Required:

  • CPA certification
  • Big 4 public accounting background (audit or advisory) strongly preferred
  • Extensive SEC reporting experience
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Deep expertise in GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Strong background in both external and internal reporting
  • Strategic thinking with ability to partner with executive leadership
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence


Preferred:

  • Experience with publicly traded companies
  • SaaS or technology industry background
  • Previous Controller or Director-level experience
