Regency Village at Bend is looking for an RN nurse leader with a passion for quality care and team development. Experience is a plus or we will train the right nurse for the position. Regency Village at Bend is a 65-unit Assisted Living Facility near the mill district. The Wellness Director is a member of the administrative team and the clinical partner to the Executive Director. We are Regency Village at Bend, centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are a retirement and assisted living community providing each individual compassionate care in a nurturing environment. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team.

As a Health and Wellness Director-RN, you will coordinate and provide oversight of health and supportive services offered to residents at an Assisted Living Community. Responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of the community to ensure resident healthcare needs. Train, supervise, and monitor the administration of direct care. Assess/observe residents' physical and psychosocial needs and coordinate to assure proactive care. Interact directly with associates, residents, resident family members, vendors, and professional contacts within the community. This position reports to the Executive Director.

You will:
  • Foster a non-clinical, resident-centered approach to the planning and delivering services to residents, supporting a resident's rights to participate in decision-making and treating residents with dignity and respect.
  • Assess resident health and functional and psychosocial status, initiate individualized service plans, proactively manage care and services for each resident, and maximize the resident opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment.
  • Ensure residents' care needs by coordinating with other community professionals, including physicians, discharge planners, nurses, home health agency staff, case managers, and state agency personnel.
  • Arrange ancillary services, such as pharmacy, podiatry, lab, and x-ray.
  • Delegate nursing tasks as allowed under applicable nursing laws and practice acts, communicating regularly with residents, their families, and healthcare practitioners.
  • Train, supervise, and monitor staff to provide personal care, medication management, and other health-related services, assuring our philosophy of care.
  • Communicate regularly with residents' families regarding health care needs.
  • Instruct and reassure residents and families in maintaining health and managing medical conditions.
You currently:
  • Possess a Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • Have two or more years in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.
  • Problem-solve creatively in both resident care and employee management.
  • Have one or more years in supervisory/management position, with experience with budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling.
