Sales Executive (Business Development Director), Enterprise - EAP
Location: Remote, United States (Central to Western Region Territory)
About the Role
TELUS Health is dedicated to helping employees reach their professional goals through internal promotion and development opportunities. We are seeking a driven Sales Executive (Business Development Director) to lead new business development and expand market share across the United States and globally, supporting organizations with both domestic and multinational footprints.
This role is central to driving sales through direct client engagement, broker partnerships, and strategic alliances while collaborating cross-functionally with Account Management, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams. You will play a key role in shaping growth within our Integrated Health Solutions portfolio, including EAP (Employee Assistance Programs), helping organizations improve employee wellbeing through innovative and impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development activities across the full sales cycle with prospective and existing clients and partners
  • Drive new business through direct sales, RFP participation, and expansion within existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, brokers, and benefits consultants
  • Present at conferences, client events, and finalist presentations
  • Refine territory strategy aligned with broader organizational goals
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews to assess performance and strategy

Required Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of enterprise B2B sales/business development experience
  • Proven track record of success in complex, multinational sales environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in employer benefits or related sectors (EAP, HR consulting, mental health solutions)
  • Strong understanding of broker/consultant dynamics and indirect sales channels
  • Proven consultative selling and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage the sales cycle autonomously from end-to-end
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for growth and results
  • High degree of professionalism, organizational savvy, and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned territory (Central to Western US focus)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Existing broker network or established book of business
  • MBA or advanced business degree
  • Experience in digital health, SaaS, or services-based solution selling
  • Prior experience with leading organizations in healthcare, benefits, or HR consulting sectors

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $145,000 - $150,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $240,000 - $280,000 (uncapped commission potential)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, wellness, and retirement programs
