Operations Director – Steam Turbine Repair Services

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this mission-critical role is responsible for leading operational strategy and execution to support the growth of a best-in-class steam turbine repair services business unit. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer demand, ensure high-quality repair standards, and drive operational excellence. The role requires strong leadership to foster a culture centered on safety, performance, and employee engagement, while achieving profitability and long-term growth objectives.

Position Scope & Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development and execution of short- and long-term business strategies to expand steam turbine repair capabilities and market presence.
  • Establish, track, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery across repair operations.
  • Manage and oversee the annual operating budget, aligning resources with forecasted repair volumes and business goals.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to ensure repair processes meet technical specifications, OEM standards, and customer quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure efficient material flow, cost control, and operational scalability.
  • Work closely with Safety and Human Resources to build and sustain a high-performing workforce culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and deliver executive-level reporting on operational performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement capital improvement plans to enhance repair capabilities, tooling, and facility capacity to support future growth.
  • Establish workforce development initiatives, including training and skills development programs, to ensure long-term operational readiness.
  • Support Commercial and Sales teams by providing technical expertise, participating in customer engagements, and helping shape service offerings and market strategies.
  • Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
