Part Time Family Medical MD Director (Remote) - AMAZING PAY OPPORTUNITY

MUST BE CALIFORNIA-LICENSED MD in California

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned, California-licensed MD Medical Director to provide remote clinical and administrative oversight for our clinics in the greater Los Angeles area.

As a Medical Director, you will oversee several clinics (2-3 clinics), which provide more flexibility and ability to maximize your income compare to a single-site role.

This is an ideal, part-time opportunity for a retired or close to experienced physician who is looking to apply their extensive medical expertise in a leadership capacity without the demands of a full-time, on-site role. The Medical Director will be a vital part of our leadership team, focused on upholding the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality and Compliance: Remotely develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and quality assurance programs to ensure patient care meets or exceeds California state and federal regulations.
  • Administrative Oversight: Conduct virtual meetings and reviews to oversee medical operations, policy development, and staff training.
  • Risk Management: Provide remote guidance on best practices for a safe, efficient healthcare environment.
  • Virtual Collaboration: Act as a remote liaison between the clinical staff and administrative leadership, collaborating on strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives via video conferencing and other digital tools.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must be a licensed M.D. or D.O. in good standing with the Medical Board of California.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a practicing physician in Internal Medicine.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance (HIPAA, CMS), and quality improvement methodologies.
    • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and comfortable using video conferencing and other remote collaboration tools.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • A strong history of practice in California is highly valued.
