• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions focused on treating various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues, using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to foster support and shared experiences among clients dealing with similar issues.
• Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments and create detailed, personalized treatment plans that align with each client's goals and needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and educators to provide a holistic approach to client care, ensuring all aspects of their mental health are addressed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of client information.
• Engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing education to stay abreast of best practices and maintain licensure, while contributing insights and solutions to collective challenges.
• Provide crisis intervention strategies and conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during challenging situations.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, which includes individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities, and age groups who are facing varied mental health challenges. Your work will empower clients to navigate their mental health journeys successfully and achieve their personal goals and aspirations in a supportive and respectful environment.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing direct counseling services to individuals, groups, and families.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
