BEHAVIOR FRONTIERS
Inside Business Development Manager - Healthcare Referral Development
Remote or Hybrid
Pay Rate: $70,000- 90,000 plus commission Minimal Travel (occasional team meetings/training)
Introduction
Behavior Frontiers is a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with autism. As we continue expanding into new markets across the country, we're seeking an Inside Business Development rep to help connect families and healthcare providers with the services they need.
This role is responsible for developing relationships with physicians, psychologists, hospitals, therapy providers, and other referral sources through phone, email, and virtual outreach. You'll play a key role in generating qualified referrals, supporting regional growth strategies, and collaborating with clinical leadership to increase access to care for children and families.
Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with physicians, psychologists, hospitals, therapy providers, and community organizations through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Educate stakeholders and families on the value of Behavior Frontiers ABA therapy via phone, email, and video.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to prospective referral partners to generate qualified opportunities and build long-term referral relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic outreach plans for assigned markets.
  • Manage sales opportunity forecasting within Salesforce for current and potential referral partners.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder databases for Behavior Frontiers regions, ensuring all contacts are logged and managed in Salesforce.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings between prospective/current stakeholders and the clinical team covering their respective regions.
  • Participate in business development strategies.
  • Interact with Behavior Frontiers leaders at a high level, communicating outreach goals and strategies to generate and convert viable referrals.
  • Educate local clinical leadership about outreach efforts and engage them in relationship-building activities to support referral generation.
  • Stay focused on achieving and exceeding weekly and monthly outreach and conversion goals.
  • Responsible for weekly recording and reporting of outreach activity in Salesforce and meeting outreach cycle goals.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement and professional development regarding knowledge of service offerings and communication skills, through self-learning and active participation in training programs.
  • Adheres to all company and industry guidelines.
  • Ability to work some weekends and weeknights.
  • Occasional travel for team meetings, training, or conferences (a few times per year).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
General Requirements
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with healthcare professionals through consultative conversations that identify needs and provide meaningful solutions.
  • 4+ Years sales experience (medical services/health care industry preferred); inside sales, tele-sales, or virtual sales experience a plus.
  • Highly preferred: Experience in autism services, ABA therapy, pediatric behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or related healthcare specialties.
  • Experience engaging physicians, psychologists, hospitals, therapy providers, or other healthcare referral sources preferred.
  • Demonstrated success using a consultative, relationship-based sales approach.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent phone and virtual presence; ability to build rapport and deliver presentations remotely.
  • Proven success dealing with various levels of clientele, especially with key decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage a high volume of outreach and scheduling coordination.
  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) to manage relationships, document activities, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
  • Ability to interpret sales and referral data to prioritize outreach efforts and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to meet weekly/monthly activity and conversion goals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable conducting proactive outbound outreach and building relationships through phone, email, and virtual meetings in a goal-oriented environment.
