TheDirector of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)leads the strategy, governance, and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs across a GMPregulated life sciences manufacturing network. This role ensures that equipment, utilities, and facilities operate at peak reliability to support uninterrupted production of lifesaving therapies. The Director drives a culture of operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and Supply Chain.

This positionreports to theVP,Engineeringandis part of theGlobal Engineering Team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Enterprise TPM Strategy& Governance
    Provide enterprise leadership for the TPM strategy, ensuring alignment with manufacturing performance, quality systems, regulatory expectations, and longterm business objectives, including asset lifecycle and modernization planning.

  • Maintenance Operating Model & Programs
    Establish and govern standardized preventive, predictive, and conditionbased maintenance frameworks for GMP equipment, clean utilities, and critical infrastructure across sites.

  • Reliability & Operational Performance
    Lead enterprise reliability and operational excellence initiatives, leveraging RCM, RCA, and FMEA to improve asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and drive sustained performance improvement.

  • TPM Pillars & Culture of Continuous Improvement
    Sponsor and embed TPM pillars-including Autonomous Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Early Equipment Management-driving accountability, operator ownership, and continuous improvement culture.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight
    Maintain executive accountability for maintenance compliance with cGMP, GxP, EHS, and global regulatory standards, overseeing audit readiness, inspection support, and critical asset risk management.

  • Digital Enablement & Systems Optimization
    Direct the enterprise CMMS/EAM and digital maintenance strategy, ensuring data integrity, asset visibility, and adoption of advanced technologies to improve reliability, cost, and decisionmaking.

  • People, Stakeholder & External Partnership Leadership
    Lead and develop maintenance leadership teams while partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and key vendors/OEMs to align priorities, optimize shutdown execution, and support enterprise objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial) or related field.

  • 10+ years of maintenance, engineering, or operations experience in a GMP life sciences environment (biotech, pharma, medical devices).

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing multisite or largescale maintenance programs.

  • Strong knowledge of TPM methodologies, reliability engineering, and CMMS/EAM systems.

  • Demonstrated success improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime in regulated manufacturing.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel~30-40% iflocatedin the Chaska, MN area,and ~ 50-70% if remote.

It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:

  • Master's degree in Engineering,Operations,or Business.

  • Certifications such as CMRP, CRE, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.

  • Experience with biologics, sterile manufacturing, or highcomplexityproduction environments.

  • Familiarity with digital maintenance technologies and Industry 4.0 applications.

Theannualsalary range OR the hourly range for this role is$200,000 - $225,000.This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
