The role of Chemical Feed Sales Specialist within MISCOwater requires that you establish/maintain relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers and local general contractors working in the municipal and industrial markets to promote sales and solutions represented by MISCOwater throughout Northern California. Utilizing MISCOwater’s network of resources and partner companies, you will develop marketing strategies, exhibit at local trade shows, and strategize with your divisional team to optimize your territory’s sales potential through a variety of technologies and solutions.

The Chemical Feed Account Manager position is an outside sales role requiring you to meet and be comfortable conversing with consultants, treatment plant-level personnel and contractors. Plant level or direct sales activities require in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do:
  • Expand existing relationships with end users, contractors and engineers while building lasting relationships with new accounts.
  • Provide engineers and end users with a professional level of product promotion/selection, support and follow up to ensure projects are successful and to maximize sales revenue.
  • Travel within assigned sales territory in Northern California up to three time per week.
  • Be self-motivated to set up meetings, product promotion events and relationship building activities to maintain frequent contact with your customer base.
  • Attend product training seminars and participate in local industry associations and trade shows.
  • Travel to represented companies for training on an as-needed basis.
What you bring:
 
Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in the municipal water/wastewater industry, chemical feed sales, plant operations, or a related technical field
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively with plant staff, engineers, contractors, and manufacturer representatives
  • Comfortable managing multiple opportunities, deadlines, and customer relationships
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout Northern California
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, or a related field
  • Great organizational and relationship skills
  • Experience using CRM software; MISCOwater uses QuickBase

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base salary range: $120,000–$155,000

The salary range listed represents the expected base salary for this role. Final compensation will depend on experience, education, skills, and location. This position also includes an uncapped commission structure.
