The Role

The Senior Technical Project Manager within the GCO Front Door is responsible for leading endtoend presales program execution, governance, and crossfunctional coordination for Hyperscaler deals entering CN Operations. This role ensures that opportunities flowing through the Front Door are executed with discipline, visibility, and alignment across Sales, CN Operations, & Delivery.

The Sr Technical Project Manager drives structured multiworkstream engagement, manages presales risks and dependencies, and ensures that customer commitments are achievable, governed, and operationally executable prior to deal signature. The role serves as a critical connection point between strategy and execution, protecting delivery outcomes while enabling Sales velocity.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership & Deal Orchestration
    • Own the overall presales program lifecycle for assigned Front Door opportunities, from intake through approval and readiness to execute.
    • Lead structured deal reviews, working sessions, and leadership checkpoints to align scope, timelines, resourcing, and delivery approach.
    • Coordinate across multiple workstreams (delivery, engineering, finance, contract, product, field operations) to ensure cohesive execution
    Governance, Risk & Issue Management
    • Drive Front Door governance standards to ensure disciplined intake, review, escalation, and decisionmaking.
    • Identify execution risks, delivery constraints, resourcing gaps, or dependency conflicts early and proactively manage mitigation plans.
    • Escalate issues appropriately with clear options, impacts, and recommendations for leadership decisionmaking.
    • Ensure alignment with CN Project Controls for customer commitments, delivery capabilities, and operational capacity.
    CrossFunctional Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner closely with Sales to support deal progression while maintaining delivery integrity and realistic commitments.
    • Collaborate with Operations to align financial assumptions, contract terms, and delivery models.
    • Serve as a trusted operational advisor to internal partners, providing clarity, structure, and execution confidence.
    • Facilitate communication across the CN Presale Team to ensure transparency and shared understanding of program status and risks.
    Process Improvement & Scaling the Front Door
    • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the Front Door operating model as deal volume and complexity scale.
    • Standardize presales program management artifacts, workflows, and governance practices.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce friction, eliminate duplicate handoffs, and improve cycle time without compromising quality.
    • Support reporting, dashboards, and leadership visibility into pipeline, capacity, and execution readiness

What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Required Qualifications:

    • Typically with 6+ years of experience. Bachelor's Degree. 4+ with a Master's Degree 
    • Experience leading complex, crossfunctional programs in operational or presales environments
    • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities and high stakeholder visibility
    • Background working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Delivery teams
    • Familiarity with governance frameworks, intake models, or enterprise operating models is a plus
    • Strong program and project management discipline, with the ability to drive structure in ambiguous environments
    • Excellent risk, issue, and dependency management skills, with a bias toward proactive mitigation
    • Ability to translate complex information into clear, executiveready insights

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High level of comfort influencing without authority and navigating matrixed organizations
    • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to engage both working teams and leaders
    • Skilled facilitator of crossfunctional discussions, deal reviews, and decision forums
    • Comfortably challenging assumptions and surfacing risks constructively
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$84,629 - $112,838 in these states: AL  AR  AZ  FL  GA  IA  ID  IN  KS  KY  LA  ME  MO  MS  MT  ND  NE  NM  OH  OK  PA  SC  SD  TN  UT  VT  WI  WV  WY 
$88,860 - $118,480 in these states: CO  HI  MI  MN  NC  NH  NV  OR  RI 
$93,092 - $124,122 in these states: AK  CA  CT  DC  DE  IL  MA  MD  NJ  NY  TX  VA  WA
