The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team:

RTX has an opening for a Director, Project Delivery – Real Estate (Director, Project Management) position

This position is responsible for project delivery services across the Americas to achieve project goals, meet customer requirements, and support RTX’s strategic business objectives. Key focus areas include program development, project oversight, reporting, project manager engagement, and the successful delivery of projects in accordance with established governance controls.

Interact with BU clients, internal stakeholders, and leadership teams to ensure project and program objectives are clearly defined and achieved. You will develop and implement action plans to address variances, respond proactively to client needs, manage third-party project management resources, and ensure thorough understanding and execution of operations, policies, and procedures. You will formally engage and supervise internal and external project management resources.

What You Will Do:

  • Direct all phases of project management, including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout. Focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
  • Develop new project engagements with BU partners from concept through completion using the Variable Project Management (VPM) model and its three-phase approach: 1) Project Initiation, 2) Planning/Funding, and 3) Project Execution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance policies and procedures and ensure adherence within the project delivery organization.
  • Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout, including RTX agreements, client/vendor agreements, and supplier agreements. Monitor adherence to internal governance and controls.
  • Oversee preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reporting for BU clients and the Facilities Project Delivery organization.
  • Manage third party outsourcing and vendor relations.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management to the department and staff. Serve as a mentor to foster and develop a high-performance team, supporting staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, appraisal, and retention. Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with company values.
  • Travel up to 40%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 14+ years’ experience in experience in the construction industry and/or real estate development and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or Operations, Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling
  • • 14+ years’ experience managing multiple large-scale facilities or real estate development and construction programs/projects across all phases of project management.
  • 10+ years of project financial terminology and principles, with the ability to analyze complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
  • 10+ years’ experience identifying complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and implement actions to reduce or eliminate risks.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience using MS Office, including MS 360, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in recruiting, staffing, and managing additional team members or consultants as required.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing project scope changes, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing contingency plans.
  • Experience conducting post-project reviews and developing recommendations for process, tool, and resource improvements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
