Job Description:
We're looking for a Portfolio Manager who thrives on driving execution and holding people accountable. This is a high-impact role at the centre of our change agenda-you'll have visibility across every major initiative and the authority to ensure they deliver on time, on budget, and to spec.
You're not here to create process for its own sake. You're here to drive actions to closure, remove blockers, and make sure deadlines get hit. You'll need to be comfortable having difficult conversations, chasing people relentlessly when things slip, and being the person who asks the awkward questions no one else will.
Detail matters in this role. You'll spot the gaps others miss, track dependencies that could derail timelines, managing vendors and internal teams to keep delivery on track.
What You'll Do:
  • Drive actions to closure-chase owners relentlessly, follow up daily where needed, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Own the vendor portfolio-maintaining a clear, accurate view of in-flight initiatives under your control, their status, risks, and interdependencies - including developing critical path
  • Remove blockers proactively-identify obstacles early, escalate decisively, and coordinate across teams to keep things moving
  • Make sure deadlines get hit-hold teams accountable to committed dates and intervene early when delivery is at risk
  • Lead vendor relationships-manage external partners, hold them to contractual commitments, and drive performance
  • Run governance forums and steering committees with rigour-tight agendas, clear decisions, documented actions
  • Produce executive-level reporting that tells the truth: what's on track, what's at risk, and what needs leadership attention
  • Manage resource capacity and allocation, identifying bottlenecks and conflicts before they become blockers
  • Establish and enforce project standards-consistent planning, status reporting, risk management, and change control
  • Support prioritization decisions by providing data-driven analysis of portfolio trade-offs and resource constraints
  • Track benefits realization, ensuring projects deliver the outcomes they promised-not just the outputs

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing a complex project portfolio in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail-you catch inconsistencies, follow up on loose ends, and maintain accurate records
  • Track record of driving accountability: you hold people to their commitments and don't let things slide
  • Comfortable with conflict-able to challenge senior stakeholders professionally and escalate when necessary
  • Strong analytical skills-able to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for leadership
  • Experience with financial services, fund administration, or private equity environments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships-holding external and internal partners to account and driving performance against SLAs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication-you can run a tight meeting and write a crisp status report
  • Pragmatic approach to governance: you implement what's needed, not bureaucracy for its own sake

Qualifications/ Experience:
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP certification
  • Experience with PPM tools (Monday.com, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar)
  • Background in technology transformation
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery alongside traditional project management

The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate's experience level.
